Vintage patchwork shorts are made with small Rabari pieces patched together to create a yardage and then cut as per the pattern create one of a kind product.
(The Rabari tribe are an ethnic group residing in Kutch, India. They are also known as Rebari, Raikas and Dewasi. Rabari embroidery is a pictographic representation and symbolic of the mythology, rituals, culture, and life of Rabaris. They are subdivided into groups which have distinguishing hand embroidery vocabulary of the composing the chain stitch, the back stitch, and herringbone.This variety of embroidery is known for the use of mirrors in various size and shapes.)
